Copper eases on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) Copper eased on poor industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In the ferrous segment, copper heavy declined by Rs 200 per quintal on lack of fresh demand while brass cuttings rose by Rs 100 per quintal on better buying support.
In the non-ferrous category, copper wire bar fell by Rs 100 per quintal on increased offers by stockists.
Tin slab went up by Rs seven per kg on improved demand.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 37,000, Copper utensils - Rs 32,500, Brass utensils - Rs 22,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 25,900 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,900.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 40,800, Aluminium ingots - Rs 12,900, Zinc slab - Rs 18,800, Lead ingots - Rs 6,500, Tin slab - Rs 540 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,770 (per kg).
