Constable commits suicide at DIG bungalow

Jabalpur, Sep 2 (UNI) Special Armed Force constable Sukhendra Swaroop Yadav, posted on guard duty at Jabalpur Range DIG D Sriniwas Rao's bungalow, committed suicide by firing with his service rifle while on duty here late last night.

''The bullet after hitting his throat pierced through his head and the constable died on the spot at the guard room '', Additional SP Manohar Varma said.

Though the exact cause of suicide was not known, the Constable left behind a suicide stating ''he was not linked with naxalites.

The amount in his Provident Fund and other dues may be given to his wife and children.'' Mr Varma said the suicide note was being examined. He said the constable of the SAF 8th battalion hailed from Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh. His body was being sent to his native place after postmortem.
