21-year-old woman jumps from running train
Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) One Mr Laxman Shingare and his mother Chandrakala Shingare who have been accused of demanding dowry and driving a 21-year-old woman to commit suicide will be produced in court TODAY.
Senior police inspector Shashikant Suryavanshi of the Nehru Nagar police station, told UNI that the deceased Rekha Laxman Shingare had married the accused six months ago and was residing at Shramjivi Nagar, at Kurla in the eastern suburbs.
Mr Ashok Salve, father of the deceased has alleged in his complaint that Laxman and his mother Chandrakla used to repeatedly torture her for dowry, Mr Suryavanshi informed.
On Wednesday she left home early in the morning to visit the Mahalaxmi temple. On her way back she jumped out from the running train.
