2 jail officials suspended

Bulandshahr, Sep 2 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended, with immediate effect, two district jail officials here.

District Magistrate Ashok Kumar confirmed the action against jailor S P Suri and deputy jailor S P Pandey.

An alleged conversation between a history-sheeter Sunder Bhati, lodged in the jail, and a union minister of state over mobile phone had come to light recently.

Use of cell phones inside jails is strictly prohibited in UP.

Meanwhile, no mobile phone was recovered in an inspection by the DM and SSP of the district jail today.
