Tribal run over by truck

Jamtara, Sep 1 (UNI) A road accident in which a tribal was killed sparked off a huge protest at Jamtara district yesterdy.

A truck bound for Dumka ran over and killed one Shyamal Pahari of Tindharia village.

The body of Pahari, killed on the spot, was taken to the nearby police station in a police vehicle.

As news of the accident spread, people from the locality gathered near river Ajay and staged a dharna blocking the road.

They demanded compensation for the victim's family and wanted that the body be handed over to them soon.
