State Coop bank to be reconsitituted soon: Sudhakaran

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 1 (UNI) Kerala Cooperation Minister G Sudhakaran today said the state cooperative bank would be reconstituted soon.

Talking to reporters here, he said the reconstitution would be made without changing any elected members but by removing the nominated members.

Mr Sudhakaran directed the inquiry commission to submit the district-level report on corruption in co-operative institutions by October 15 and the state-level report by November 10.

The Minister said that stern action would be taken against errent officials in this regard.

The NABARD had agreed to release Rs 735 crore to distribute the amount through the state coperative bank, he said adding that the rehabilitation project, demanded by the NABARD, would be submitted soon.

The Minister said the government would seek Centre's help to fix the interest rate of agriculture loan to four per cent.
