Seeking self employment is a wiser decision: Expert
Nalgonda, Sept 1 (UNI) The Assistant Director of Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) A Ravindran said, in the present situation, self-employment was the best option for youth.
Speaking at a meeting organised as part of Bharat Nirman Public Information campaign here today, he said SISI provided technical consultancy and advised on project viability to those who wished to start a small-scale unit on their own.
Training would be given to those women who wish to open beauty parlours, fashion garments, leather goods, jams and jellies, he said.
Mr J Rajeshwar Reddy, Deputy Director, District Industries Centre (DIC) said the DIC provided loans up to Rs one lakh with 15-20 per cent subsidy.
Mr N Rambabu, Manager, AP, State Financial Corporation said the corporation provides 75 per cent of the working capital for setting up industries.
He said the corporation also provided loans from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 crore for specialised services like doctors for setting up hospitals, Chartered Accountants, and development of industrial estates.
