BSP suspends Rajya Sabha member Isam Singh

Lucknow, Sep 1: Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) supremo Mayawati today suspended Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh Isam Singh from the primary membership of the party for anti-party activities and encouraging dynastic rule.

'' Mr Singh has been suspended as he wanted to promote his son and daughter and conspired with other parties when his demand was denied by the BSP'', she told a press conference here.

Talking to mediapersons, Ms Mayawati said that by suspending Mr Singh, the party was trying to create an example for those leaders who try to promote dynastic rule within the party.

She said he first approached her along with his son and married daughter asking for BSP assembly tickets. When it was denied, he developed nexus with other parties, Ms Mayawati added.
