Patna, Sept 1(UNI) In order to pacify the sulking Shotgun, the noted film actor Shatrughan Sinha famous as Bihari babu, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has invited the actor turned politician to discuss his film city proposal.

Mr Sinha is annoyed with the response of the state government towards his ambitious project for raising a film city here.

Expressing his anguish, the BJP leader recently wrote to Mr Kumar that he might shelve the proposal of film city if the cold response of the NDA government continued in future.

Taking cognizance to the letter Mr Kumar said he had invited Mr Sinha to discuss the matter. He said here last evening that the film city proposal was laudable as it has the potential to generate employment opportunities in the state.

"Even I was waiting for such proposal from Mr Sinha," he said adding that there might be some confusion due to communication gap.

There is a need of film city in the state as Bhojpuri films were becoming popular at the national level and a film city would serve the purposes of filmmakers.

Mr Kumar also tried to downplay the criticism of his government by none other than his own party leader and former JD(U) national President George Fernandes who had aired his voice about corruption in Bihar.

Mr Kumar said that Mr Fernandes is a respectable leader and all of us pay serious attention to his words. He said corruption at any level would not be tolerated and steps have been initiated to hire retired CBI officers to fight against it.

Mr Kumar said a report card considering all aspects would be published after his government completed one year in office.
