Murga punishment for smoking

Bhopal, Sep 1 (UNI) In a bizarre punishment, the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court handed down ''murga punishment (taking position of the rooster)'' until the court proceedings ended on the charge of smoking inside the district court premises.

Judge Deepak Bansal delivered the punishment yesterday to Tulsiram and Takhat Singh for smoking in the court premises despite a ban. The duo underwent the punishment for about one hour.

Tulsiram and Takhat Singh had come to appear before the court in connection with a case related to the Arms Act. They were found smoking outside the court room.
