MP to merge 50 percent D A with basic pay
Bhopal, Sep 1 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has agreed in principle to merge 50 percent dearness allowance with the basic pay of its employees.
During interaction with the representatives of employees unions here yesterday, Public Relations Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had consented to merge DA with basic pay and also to revise DA on Central pattern from time to time.
In order to ensure timely promotion of employees, department-wise seniority list would be published by March 31 every year and the vacancies would be notified in December.
Mr Tomar said compassionate appointment had not been stopped, rather its procedure was being simplified. The backlog was being filled up. He held out the assurance that dialogue between the government and its employees would continue.
