Bangalore, Sep 1 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.

Monsoon was weak over the State.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Honavar, Karwar, Kumta, T.Narsipura, Magadi 2 each; Shirali, Ankola, Jagalbet, Chikodi, Thirthahalli, Mudigere, N.R.Pura, Lakkavalli, Nanjangud, Gundlupet, Yelandur, Malur, Ramanagara 1 each.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning:Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Belgaum Chikmagalur districts and at isolated places over Dharwad, Shimoga, Kodagu, Hassan, Mysore, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Kolar districts.

Mainly dry weather may prevail over the remaining districts of the State.

Forecast for Bangalore: Generally cloudy. Light rain possible towards evening.
