K'taka Housing Board all set to start another project
Bangalore, Sep 1 (UNI) Owing to popular demand, the Karnataka Housing Board will take up another ambitious housing project at Suryanagar near Electronics City on the outskirts of the city, in addition to the one being developed now.
KHB Commissioner Laxminarayan told reporters at the site of the Rs 300 crore ongoing project today that it would develop composite housing schemes with all modern amenities at the pollution-free environment in an area of 300 acres of land. It was proposed to build 1,630 independent houses and 1,320 flats in the next six months, he added.
The proposed project would be taken up in 800 acres of land adjoining the ongoing project, he said, adding that the land aquisition process would soon be completed.
Mr Laxminarayan said its other ongoing project at Kengeri-Bandemutt would also be completed in the next six months.
The main aim of the projects was to provide good quality houses, wide roads with good traffic management, electricity supply, underground drainage, avenue trees, landscape with open spaces and parks, he said.
Provision for an international standard shopping mall, convention centre, school, hospital, swimming pools and other facilities had been made with private partnership, he said.
