Indian nurse killed by a speeding vehicle

Dubai, Sept 1 (UNI) A nurse from Kerala, was killed by a speeding vehicle as she was crossing the road after her night shift at a Doha hospital in Qatar.

Tessy Thomas, 30, hailing from Erumeli in Pathanamthitta district, leaves behind her six-month-old son, Atul and husband Varghese.

Mr Varghese, a former resident of Qatar who was in Doha on a visit visa, was waiting in his car in the hospital premises to pick up Tessy after her duty.

Tessy's body was flown to Kerala last night accompanied by her husband and their infant son.
