History-sheeter gunned down in encounter
Bulandshahr, Sep 1 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Police gunned down a history-sheeter under Khurja police station area here.
Additional Police Superintendent A K Singh said yesterday the criminal alongwith his three aides were planning a major crime in the jungles of Tena village.
Acting on a tip-off, police reached the spot and in the ensuing encounter, one of them was killed. Others, however, managed to escape.
Two constables were also wounded in cross-firing.
The deceased was identified as Rajab Ali, a resident of Tevda village of Muzaffarnagar district.
About 23 cases of loot, dacoity, murder and abduction are registered against him.
Besides, he was also booked for several heinous crimes in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Jyotiba Phule Nagar and Delhi.
