Delhi Police commando fires 5 rounds 'accidentally'
New Delhi, Sep 1 (UNI) A Delhi Police Commando accidentally fired five shots from his AK 47 service weapon in Chanakyapuri area here this morning, police said..
Police said the shots were accidently fired from the firearm of commando Constable Rajendra Meena at Security Lines area of Chanakyapuri on Vinay Marg during exchange of duty.
All the bullets hit a wall. No one was injured.
Meanwhile, sources said Meena was frustated over not getting leave since long and acted in 'protest'.
DCP (Security - PM) R L Meena, while denying reports of the Delhi Police Constable 'firing in protest', said there was nothing of this sort.
''He had got the weapon issued this morning and was checking the magazine when the trigger accidently went off.'' It was a case of negligence, he added.
