Central team visits Kheda district
Kheda, Gujarat, Sep 1 (UNI) A three-man Central team today visited Kheda district to take stock of the extent of flood devastation in the district.
Mr RP Singh, joint director, agriculture, Mumbai, Mr Shatrughan Lal, from the department of planning and Mr Udit Singhal, from the Rural&Road Transport visited villages in Matar taluka, Kheda taluka and Nadiad town, low lying areas which were badly affected by the floods.
The district collector RR Varsani informed the team that the district has incurred losses to the tune of Rs 164 crore while the death toll was 36.
