Caparo Engg to acquire Bridge Aluminium

London, Sep 1 (UNI) Caparo Engineering Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caparo Group, chaired and founded by Lord Swaraj Paul has acquired the shares of the parent company of the UK-based Bridge Aluminium Ltd and BA Machining Ltd (Bridge Aluminium).

Bridge Aluminium is the largest UK aluminium gravity die caster with exports accounting for 60 per cent of sales. The company is a leading supplier of turbocharger and fuel injection components.

''Caparo is building Caparo Aluminium as a leading global supplier of high quality, specialist aluminium cast components.

Bridge Aluminium will compliment the existing UK Caparo foundries of Caparo Aluminium Technologies (formerly Zeus) and Barton Aluminium Foundries, along with the newly formed Caparo Aluminium Foundries under construction in Chennai, India,'' Caparo Chief Executive Angad Paul said.

This will make Caparo a leading global supplier of automotive OEM components, he added.
