Cabinet panel to frame action plan on Kalam's vision
Bhopal, Sep 1 (UNI) A cabinet sub-committee will frame the action plan to implement 11-missions suggested by President A P J Abdul Kalam for transforming Madhya Pradesh into a developed state by 2016.
The sub-committee, headed by Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, will have PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi as members, while PWD Principal Secretary will be its convenor.
The cabinet sub-committee has been empowered to invite Secretary or Principal Secretary of the departments concerned during its meeting, says an official release, which, however, did not specify the tenure of the committee.
The President, who addressed the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly on July 17, suggested 11 missions for the state's prosperity. These include missions on horticulture, agriculture, education, human resource cadre, water management, infrastructure development, e-governance, tourism, tribal development and exclusive economic zone.
