BHEL apponits new Dir for Engineering, R

New Delhi, Sep 1: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) today said Mr C P Singh has assumed charge as Director (Engineering and Research&Development).

Prior to this, Mr Singh was heading the company's Hyderabad plant as Executive Director. He joined BHEL in 1970 and rose to the position of Executive Director of the company's Power Sector Northern Region (PS-NR) in 2004, handling Thermal and Hydro Construction and Power Station Renovation Projects.

He was instrumental in setting new benchmarks in the setting up of prestigious thermal power projects, namely Panipat and Parichha TPS, as well as gas turbine-based projects in Libya, a company statement said.
