4 killed in road mishap in TN

Cuddalore, Sep 1: Four persons including three of a family, were killed in an accident at Sambiyammal Devi, near Ulundurpet in Villippuram District early this morning.

Police said the accident occured when the Maruti car in which Muthuponnu was being taken for treatment to the JIPMER Hospital at Pondicherry from Salem hit a lorry carrying paddy. The victims died on the spot.

Muthuponnu's daughter-in-law Sasikala who suffered injuries was admitted to the Ulundurpet Government Hospital.

The deceased were identified as Muthuponnu , M Illayaraja, M Govindaraj and S Manikandan (car driver).
