3 lakh cusecs to be released in Mahi river

Anand, Sep 1 (UNI) With heavy inflow from Rajasthan's Mahi Bajajsagar dam into the Kadana dam here, the authorities would be releasing 3 lakh cusecs into the Mahi river from 1800 hrs onwards today.

While by 2100 hrs, it could go to 4 lakhs cusecs, say the district authorities here.

Twenty six villages in Anand district have been alerted. They are 2 villages in Umreth taluka; 4 in Anand taluka; 8 in Borsad taluka and 12 in Anklav taluka.
