29 bar girls arrested

Mumbai, Sep 1 (UNI) Thirty-four people, including 29 bar girls, were arrested by the city police in a raid at Nagpada in South Central Mumbai late last night, police said today.

Nagpada police station sources said acting on a tip-off, they raided Bharat Bar at Nagpada Junction at about 0115 hrs and arrested 29 bar girls, the owner, manager and three other staff members for allegedly running the business beyond the stipulated time frame.

The arrested will be produced in the court for remand later in the day, the sources added.
