Warrant of arrest against DTO

Patna, Aug 31 (UNI) Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate of Patna Sarwajit today issued non-bailable warrant of arrest against District Transport Officer (DTO) Rohtas, Niranjan Kumar Barnwal for his appearance in a complaint case.

Accoding to the complaint, Mr Barnwal along with the other co-accused had assaulted the complainant Sanjay Kumar Chaubey on October 31, 2004 and damaged the computers, removed four close circuit cameras from district transport office, Patna.

Mr Barnwal was posted as additional DTO cum chief accounts officer in Patna when the incident occurred.

The complainant's company had installed its equipment at district transport office here under a project to prepare computerised driving licences, owner books to check the activities of touts.
