UTSAV begins tomorrow

Guwahati, Aug 31 (UNI) With the objective of organizing an event to ensure a good time for the middle class masses, a full fledged shopping-cum-entertainment mall with an air conditioned mini cinema complex has been erected at Guwahati city from September 1 to 11.

The temporary mall, which would be there for 11 days and christened as Utsav 2006, has been organized by Joya Communications.

The mall would try and sell quality goods, particularly ready made garments at lowest possible rates.

Briefing the newsmen CEO of Joya Communication, Rajneesh Das said such an event is very essential for the people of Guwahati.

He also expressed confidence and said that the event would be a success.

One of the main attractions would be the exclusive offer from the oldest Maruti vehicle dealer of selling re-conditioned cars with one year warranty and three free servicing under the branding of true value.

The other attractions of the carnival would be movie shows and various cultural programmes, which would also feature live performance by the Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa fame duo Twinkle-Viswaas and singing superstar Nachiketa.

Besides, a Dandiya night with glimpses from Gujarat and Rajasthan would also be arranged on the September 2.

Nothing can be complete without good food, so special care has been taken for food as well.

Chefs from Kolkata has been hired to rustle up an array of traditional dishes, including sweets.
