PSL bags Rs 97.5 cr order from Reliance's RPTL
New Delhi, Aug 31: PSL, engaged in pipe coatings and pipe manufacturing, today secured a Rs 97.5 crore contract from Reliance Ports&Terminals Ltd, for anti-corrosion and weight concrete pipe coating.
As per the agreement, PSL will also design, engineer, supply and install sacrificial anodes and fabrication and coating work of induction bends for sub-sea pipelines for crude or product SPM system for Reliance Jamnagar Export Refinery project.
The order will be executed over a period of seven months for 48 inch and 30 inch diameter pipes.
''Engineering for offshore pipe coating is part of PSL's core competence. Reliance and Leighton Malaysia, the EPC contractor of Reliance have chosen us to undertake this project. We have to meet extremely firm order commitment for delivery of Concrete Coated Pipes on FOB basis from our Kandla plant,'' PSL Managing Director Ashok Punj said.
Recently, PSL has completed a similar 34 million dollar project for Dolphin Energy for 48 inch diameter pipes, anti-corrosion pipe coating, weight concrete coating and installation of sacrificial anodes.
PSL has multiple weight concrete coating plants, three layer side extruded PE / PP coating plants, facilities for manufacturing of sacrificial anodes and induction bends.
Besides, it has doubled the earlier existing capacity of its pipes division with a capacity addition of three new pipe mills.
Consequently, its aggregate pipe manufacturing capacity now stands at a proud 11,00,000 MT per year.
