Pension to journalists enhanced in Pondy

Pondicherry, Aug 31 (UNI) Pondicherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today announced enhancement of journalists pension from Rs 2000 to Rs 4000.

Winding up the discussion on demand for grants for various departments, the Chief Minister said in the event of the death of journalist 50 per cent of the pension would be provided to his wife.

He also anounced a scheme to provide laptop computers to working journalist at 50 per cent subsidy.
