Noted humourist Bakul Tripathi dead at 78
Ahmedabad, Aug 31 (UNI) Noted Gujarati humourist Bakul Tripathi died here today.
He was 78. He was admitted to a private hospital in the day. His end came at 1700 hrs.
Born on November 27, 1928, Tripathi was a professor in H L Commerce college and president of Gujarat Sahitya Parishad. His two popular columns in leading Gujarati daily Gujarat Samachar 'Thoth Nishaliyo' and 'Kakko ne Barakhadi' made him a humourist of repute. He used to also speak at several literary and cultural programmes.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter. The cremation will take place soon after his wife arrives from the US.
