Monsoon was weak over North Interior Karnataka

Bangalore, Agu 31 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today: Monsoon was weak over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Udupi 6; Karkala 5; Dharmasthala, Vittal, Panambur 4 each; Mulki, Belthangadi, Subramanya, Bhatkal, Londa 3 each; Bantwal, Sulya, Honavar, Bhagamandala, Madikeri 2 each; Mani, Puttur, Siddapura, Kundapur, Napoklu, Sakleshpura, C.R.Patna, Bangarpet 1 each.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada districts; at a few places over Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Kodagu districts and at isolated places over Bidar and Belgaum districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over the remaining districts of the State.

Forecast for Bangalore: Partly cloudy. A spell of light rain likely in some areas.
