Indigo first flight from Delhi delayed by hours

Kolkata, Aug 31: The inaugural flight of Indigo from Delhi was delayed by about one and half hours today.

The private airlines, which began its flights between Delhi and Guwahati via Kolkata and back to Delhi arrived here from Delhi at 1800 hrs. instead of its scheduled time 1640 hrs. There were 70 passengers aboard the airbus 320 flight for Kolkata on the opening day.

From Kolkata there were 24 passengers for Guwahati. The return flight to Delhi departed late at night. The airlines will be operating an airbus-320 daily in the evening on Delhi-Kolkata-Guwahati sector.
