Ganesh Chaturthi gets exciting for Reliance subscribers

Lucknow, Aug 31 (UNI) Reliance Communications is offerring its customers a unique way to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with a reverse auction service on its popular Dial 1234 services.

To participate, subscribers have to dial 1234 from their Reliance mobile phones and say 'Ganesh' and quote a unique bid.

If the bid value is lowest and unique among all bids, then one takes home the goodies at the bid figure.

Every auction is open for a period of one week. One can take minimum bid amount and bid increments are one paise.

This is an attempt to expand this service to milions of users by experiencing it pan-India, using mobiles.

With over 24 million subscribers able to use this service, one expects fierce competitive bids, says Mr Mahesh Prasad, President, applications and solutions group at Reliance communications.
