BCCI Official Cricket Ratings launched

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) While the ICC ratings continue to draw flaks from certain quarters for its apparent complexity, BCCI today launched its official cricket ratings in which the cricket fan in the street will have his say, along with that of the statistician.

The cricket board and Percept Holdings today jointly announced the BCCI Official Cricket Ratings and Awards and declared that the first ratings would be released in October this year while the first award ceremony would take place here in February, ahead of next year's World Cup.

The ratings have been created and by Pecept Holding in collaboration with BCCI system and it would cover Senior Team Players, Domestic Players, Under-19 and Women Team Players.

This is the first time that a common man will be involved in a voting process and BCCI would have a weekly TV show in which they would vote for their ''Player of the Week'' and ''My Favourite Player''.
