ASHA celebrates its 8th foundation day

Shillong, Aug 31 (UNI) ASHA, an Army run rehabilitation centre of the of physically and mentally challenged children in the city, celebrated its eighth foundation day here today.

To mark the occasion, a cultural programme was organised at 58 Gorkha Training Centre, Happy Valley.

Asha School of Rehabilitation of Physically and Mentally challenged children has been undertaken by HQ 101 Area and 58 GTC and supported by the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA).

The funds for running the school are granted by Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment (MOJSE) and through voluntary contributions by various regimental institutions of the Army under HQ 101 Area.

The children of the school participate in various competitions organised by government and NGOs.
