Additional Rs 50,000 compensation to BPL families

Jaipur, Aug 31 (UNI) The Rajasthan government has announced an additional compensation of Rs 50,000 to these BPL families died in flood in the state.

Relief Minister Kirorilal Meena said this amount is in addition to Rs 50,000 already announced by the state government. He said the government would provide Rs.25000 each to the families whose houses collapsed during the flood. The construction of around 11,000 houses would cost Rs 27 crore, he said.

He said the short term loans have been converted in to meduim term loans and the repayment of long term loans have been suspended for year in the flood affected areas.
