Hyderabad, Aug 30: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee today took strong objection to the allegations made against the party and its leaders by Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) leaders.

Senior Congress leaders M Kodanda Reddy and G Nagender told the media TRS leaders Keshava Rao and Narendra were making baseless charges against the Congress on Telengana to cover up their mistakes.

They alleged that TRS leaders had lost the people's confidence and they had no credibility. Their main agenda was to obstruct developmental activities taken up by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, he said, adding, the Government was committed to development of the Telangana region and the Government had allocated more funds and taken up several projects there.

They said the people of Telangana clearly understood they would not achieve separate Telangana through the TRS and only the Congress would achieve it. The party was committed to consensus on a separate state and had the confidence to achieve it. It was not good on the part of TRS leaders to criticise Telugu-speaking and non-Telengana region people, they added.
