Medical student found dead in Manipur

Imphal, Aug 29: A medical student, studying at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), here was found hanging in his hostel room last evening.

Police identified the youth as Bwenyhunloo Chung, a fourth semester student. He was from Kohima, Nagaland. Lamphel police station officials said they were enquiring into the matter.

RIMS officials said the body of the deceased would be handed over to his family members.

The reason for the suicide was not immediately known.
