Con man arrested in Hubli

Hubli, Aug 29: Police here arrested a person for posing as the husband of a deceased Railway employee to claim monetary benefits.

The fraud came to light when the original nominee, the sister of the deceased Rekha Kadni, submitted legal papers before the Railway authorities, claiming the funds and other benefits.

Following this, Railway authorities lodged a complaint with the police, who arrested Suryaprakash Acharya.

Investigations revealed that the papers submitted by Acharya were bogus and he had fabricated them with the help of a marriage bureau, police said.
