I will not like al Qaeda in Kashmir: JKLF Chief
Srinagar, Aug 28: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Yasin Malik todays said he would not like the presence of al Qaeda in the Valley.
Addressing a news conference, he appreciated Hizbul Mujahidden supremo Syed Salahuddin's statement that there was no presence and role for al Qaeda in Jammu and Kashmir.
''I appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir that we should neither interfere nor give statements in support of al Qaeda. The al Qaeda's struggle cannot be ours. We cannot invite the entire world to inflict atrocities on us,'' he added.
Malik said he would not like the presence of al Qaeda in Kashmir.
The JKLF chief said he would not interfere in the functioning of the militant groups when asked if he would appeal to these outfits to adopt non-violent means.
