Delhi-bound plane's emergency landing in Kolkata
Kolkata, Aug 28: A Delhi-bound Indian plane made an emergency landing at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport shortly after take-off this evening, Airport sources said.
The plane, which had flown about ten nautical miles, headed back for the airport after 28 minutes when the commander told the Air Traffic Control at Kolkata that he was having problems with one of the engines of the aircraft.
The Airport authorities immediately declared an emergency at the airport keeping ready all arrangements. The aircraft, however, landed safely.
