Shillong, Aug 28: Handing over of ULFA General Secretary Anup Chetia and other militant outfits leaders of North East India based in Bangladesh will top the agenda during the three-day Border Security Force (BSF) and Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) conclave here.

An annual border co-ordination committee meeting between the BSF and BDR would be held at the BSF's frontier headquarters here from August 28-31, next.

The main purpose of the meeting is to maintain peace and tranquility and better understanding between the two countries, especially among the two border people.

S K Dutta, IG BSF in-charge Tripura, Cachar and Mizoram frontier will be heading the Indian delegation associated by IG BSF in-charge Asom, Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland J P Sinha. The BDR delegation will be headed by its Deputy Director General Brigadier General S M Golam Rabbani.

The frontier guards would also reviewed on the cross-border terrorism and infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals to Indian territory.

''We will reminded the BDR's on the handing over of ULFA leader Anup Chetia and other insurgent leaders to us,'' Mr Sinha told UNI here today.

Mr Sinha said the BSF would also hand over a list of 172 Indian insurgent camps in Bangladesh and ask for their dismantling.

The other agenda decided by both frontiers guards to deliberate across the table was the recent skirmishes at Zakiganj in Asom' Cachar-Karimganj sector.

''Under no circumstances, we will allow anyone to encroach inside our territory,'' he asserted.

The IG added that the BSF would request them (BDR) to strengthen their vigil along their international border to thwart cross-border crimes.

Mr Sinha said the meeting would also discuss issues related to installing of border fencing along the zero line, which was strongly objected by Dhaka citing that New Delhi violated the Indira-Mujib pact.
