Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrated in AP

Vijayawada, Aug 27 (UNI) Vinayaka Chaturthi, the birthday of Lord Ganesha is being celebrated with religious fervour at many temples here today.

Devotees in large numbers visited temples to offer prayers.

Religious discourses, mythological dramas, Harikathas, dance and music concerts were organised as part of nine-day celebrations.

On the last day the idols of Vinayaka will be taken in a procession for immersing in river Krishna.
