Sudesh Shelar is no more

Pune Aug 27 (UNI) Former international table-tennis player Sudesh Shelar passed away following a kidney failure in Mumbai.

He was 35.

Sudesh was suffering from kidney ailment for the past two years and was on dialysis. He had been to Mumbai for treatment where he breathed his last.

He was general secretary of the Pune district table tennis association and the secretary of the Deccan Gymkhana for the past three years. A large number of table tennis players sports officials and friends attended his funeral when he was cremated at the Vaikunth crematorium late last night.

He is survived by his aging parents and a brother, Rajesh, who was also a former international table tennis player.
