Plane crash in United States, reports CNN

Washington, Aug 27: A Comair jet carrying about 50 people crashed today shortly after takeoff in Lexington, Kentucky, CNN reported.

There were no immediate reports on survivors.

CNN said the plane was leaving Lexington's Blue Grass Airport, bound for Atlanta, when it went down in woods about a mile from the airport.

Comair is a unit of Delta Air Lines Incorpated.
