One arrested for plucking Sikh sevadar's beard

Sagar, MP, Aug 27 (UNI) One person was arrested today for beating up a Sikh 'sevadar' and plucking his beard near Apsara cinema house in this district, police said.

Rajkumar Jadia was arrested, while another accused Arvind Ahirwar was absconding. The accused, who were drunk, had assaulted Ludhiana-resident Dharam Singh yesterday. Members of Sikh community had staged a 'chakkajam' at national highway no 86 for about half-an-hour yesterday to protest the incident.
