Bhopal, Aug 27 (UNI) The Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) today alleged that the law and order situation in Madhya Pradesh has deteriorated severely.

''The killing of a professor in Ujjain during student' union election is a proof of this,'' state BJS President Raghunandan Sharma told reporters here today.

He said the BJP had formed governments in the state earlier also but law and order had collapsed due to incapability of the present government.

Mr Sharma said incidents of crime were increasing and no citizen felt protected. Even, the names of ministers had surfaced in corruption cases.

He alleged that anti-social elements openly went on rampage in Ujjain's Government Madhav College but police and the administration remained silent spectators. It was a failure of the administration as well as the government.

Mr Sharma claimed that the BJS was emerging as a third alternative for people. Earlier, public looked upto the BJP when it got annoyed with the Congress and vice-versa.
