ICAI, CERT ink MoU
Chennai, Aug 27 (UNI) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), Abu Dhabi.
Under the MoU, the ICAI and CERT would conceptualise and devise an international curriculum in accountancy integrating local needs, keeping in mind various requirements of different levels of accountancy and audit professionals.
The MoU was signed by ICAI Tamil Nadu President C A Manoharan and CERT Vice-Chairman Tayeb Kamali.
The MoU also sought to explore the establishment of an independent institute for promoting chartered accountancy as a profession, Mr Manoharan said in a statement.
