Ethnic art forms should be revived: Minister
Kochi, Aug 27 (UNI) Kerala Culture Minister M A Baby today said the ethnic art forms of the state was slowly fading out and urged the culture organisations to take steps to revive them.
Addresing a gathering at a function organised by the 'Malayalam Cultural Academy, he said, the traditional art forms should be revived by the cultural organisations for the future generations.
Mr Baby also felicitated the celebrated theatre artist and writer Kavalam Narayana Panicker with the 'Rangapratibha' award on the occasion.
The art forms of the state were unique in content and substance and theatre personalities like Mr Panicker had contributed immensely to the culture of the state, he added.
The renowned film director Sibi Malayil and President of the Academy E S Jose were also present.
