CDPO caught red handed accepting bribe
Patna, Aug 27 (UNI) Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Shankar Prasad was arrested today from his residence at Brahmapur while accepting a bribe from an aspiring candidate for a project, offcial sources said.
Bihar State Vigilance Bureau's Additional Director General Neelmani told UNI that acting on a tip off, a vigilance sleuth raided the residence of the CDPO and arrested him while he was accepting Rs 2000 as bribe from a candidate of Anganwadi Sevika.
The bureau had received complaints that the CDPO demanded money against employment in the child development centres.
Mr Neelmani said the arrested official was also facing several other charges of irregularities in four different cases.
