Bhopal, Aug 27 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) membership campaign coordinator Shivshankar Pateria today resigned from the party.

In his resignation to the party president Uma Bharti, Mr Pateria alleged that the BJS had abandoned the ideals of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and the party had been captured by self-centered, arrogant and corrupt leaders.

He also accused the sadhvi of not paying heed to party workers, and that the firebrand leader was surrounded by a coterie of arrogant and corrupt people, who were taking her towards downfall.

He said although Ms Bharti was a great leader, she was proceeding towards downfall by for neglecting true workers.

Alleging that women and minorities had not been provided adequate representation in the newly constituted state executive, he said Ms Bharti's directions to provide 50 per cent reservation to women had been bypassed.

Mr Pateria accused state BJS President Raghunandan Sharma of working in a manner that was causing fights between BJS workers. His working style had earlier forced Vidisha BJS district president to resign.

Regarding his future plans, he said he would neither go to the BJP or the BJS but work in public sphere although his dedication to Ms Bharti would continue to be the same.
