Arms and ammunition recovered from ASI's house
Muktskar, Aug 27 (UNI) Police raided a house of an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police at Mahout and recovered three pistols and more than 400 cartridges, some of them were of AK-47 rifle.
According to SSP G Nageshwar Rao, accused ASI Harinder Singh has a malicious past, he had been earlier booked for smuggling opium and also in a bribery case.
The ASI was earlier posted at Malout and later transferred to Bathinda district, despite his transfer, a few months back, he did not vacate the offical residence at Malout.
A case was registered against the ASI, who is still at large, under Arms Act.
